DM88 Smart Watch Review

These days people are getting addicted to smartwatches as they are handy. This DM88 Smart Watch is a combination of beautifully crafted traditional wrist watch and present technology all together.

Besides you can connect your smartphone remotely to sync your daily activities and to make calls using bluetooth. I am writing this article about DM88 Smart Watch after a month of using it and i haven’t experienced any problem till now.

This traditional looking watch has much features present in it than it looks.  The body is made out of a metallic material with a 1.2” circular disk screen. The watch has a great and newly released chipset designed with 64 MB of ram and 128 MB of internal storage.

It has Bluetooth 4.0, a small speaker and a mic to answer the calls.The whole smartwatch is powered by a 320mAh Li-ion Battery that is advertised to last an entire week when in standby mode.

Display & Design

DM88 Smart Watch is manufactured in such a way that it fits for your daily life activities. This heart rate monitoring smart watch features an IPS screen of 240 x 240 resolution. The screen size is of 1.22 inch and the circular disk screen is made of aviation grade metal alloy.

You can install various watch faces by following a simple method. It comes with various multi-color leather straps to choose from and those colors are Fashion Silver, Jazz Black and Luxury Gold. This smartwatch looks beautiful and stylish and is uni-sex model.

Processor

The processor present in DM88 Heart rate Monitoring Smart Watch is MTK2502C which you can find in most of the recently manufactured smart watches. The chip is very newly released and is designed specially for smartwatches. Besides, the smartwatch is powered by 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM.

This smartwatch is waterproof which has IP53 rating.You can spill water on it but you cannot take it into the water for a longtime. Also this smartwatch comprises of features like dust-proof, vibration, anti-sweat and has no influence when you wash your hands wearing it.

It has built-in Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity. This smartwatch is compatible with both iOS and Android. Below is the pic of heart rate monitoring sensor.

 

Software Interface

The software in the DM88 Smart Watch is easily understandable and you can view the contents by simple multi-directional swipes on the screen. There is a button to the right of the watch which can be used to turn on the smartwatch and it can be used as Go Back option while in settings/menu. Some of the apps mentioned above requires phone connectivity to sync contacts, time, calender etc., Or else you can directly use the smartwatch just as a normal watch.

There are some applications available to install on your phone if you want to set your daily goals such as number of steps, Heart Rate Analysis etc., You can also use the smartwatch with your smartphone even without the apps but you cant setup goals mentioned.

Conclusion

DM88 Smartwatch is worth a buy as it is cheap and it looks great. The performance and features of this smartwatch is enough for our daily activities to monitor.

The build quality is awesome and the watch look great as it is uni-sexual. Battery Life is not so good as advertised as i only got 16 hours battery time when connected to my smartphone and using hear rate sensor. Pedometer works great in real time too.
